Approval for activity of loud shooting

Establishment requirements only (no freedom to provide cross-border services, since this activity falls out of the Services Directive’s scope).

The candidate submits an application for the recognition of a foreign professional qualification containing:

  • Evidence on citizenship (a regular copy and uncertified translation)
  • Evidence on medical fitness for handling explosive substances
  • Evidence on completed training for handling explosive substances in carrying out a loud shooting
  • Evidence on knowing the Croatian language and Latin script

Decision on recognizing a foreign professional qualification

Deadline: up to 3 months from the day of receiving the application in the correct form

Legal remedies

Possibility of initiating an administrative dispute by lodging an appeal before the administrative court within 30 days from the day of the delivery of the decision.

Deadline for receiving the response: from 30 to 60 days

Conditions to issue an authorisation to carry out a loud shooting are that the applicant:

  • Is 18 years old
  • Resides, that is that he or she is authorised to stay in the Republic of Croatia
  • Has completed training for handling explosive substances in carrying out loud shooting
  • Is medically fit to handle explosive substances in production, which is proved by a certificate of the competent health institution or occupational medicine specialist in private practice
  • Has not been finally adjudicated or no criminal proceedings have been initiated against him or her for a crime which is subject to ex officio prosecution, except in cases of a criminal offence of causing a road traffic accident committed by negligence resulting in a bodily injury or material damage, or an equivalent offence in the country of his or her citizenship or in which he or she has residence
  • Has not been finally adjudicated for a misdemeanour with elements of violence or an equivalent offence in the country of his or her citizenship or in which he or she has residence in the three years prior to the submission of the application
  • Knows the Croatian language and Latin script

Fees

Natural persons do not pay a fee as decisions on authorisations to perform a loud shooting are issued to legal persons, sole trades or associations with one of the requirements being for them to have at least one person hired as responsible for using explosive substances when performing a loud shooting who has to meet the conditions listed above.
