Making Study of fire protection (Elaborate of fire protection)

Expert for the drafting of fire-fighting feasibility studies

Establishment requirements only (no freedom to provide cross-border services, since this activity falls out of the Services Directive’s scope).

The candidate submits an application for the recognition of a foreign professional qualification containing:

  • Evidence on citizenship (a regular copy and uncertified translation)
  • Evidence on formal education (at least completed graduate studies in engineering)
  • Evidence on passed examination of professional competence for carrying out activities in civil engineering
  • Evidence on work experience (at least five years in designing, i.e. technical supervision of protection of buildings against fire)
  • Evidence on completing and developing the knowledge on fire protection

(the list of expert works and/or research papers in the field of fire protection).

Deadline: up to 3 months from the day of receiving the application in the correct form

Legal remedies

Possibility of initiating an administrative dispute by lodging an appeal before the administrative court within 30 days from the day of the delivery of the decision.

Deadline for receiving the response: from 30 to 60 days

Conditions for issuing an authorisation for the drafting of fire-fighting feasibility studies are that the applicant:

  • Has a university degree, i.e. has completed graduate studies or integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in engineering
  • Has passed the examination of professional competence for carrying out civil engineering activities in line with a special law and completes and develops his or her knowledge in the field of fire protection according to it
  • Has at least five years of work experience in design, i.e. technical supervision of protection of buildings against fire or at least two years of work experience in design, i.e. technical supervision of protection of buildings against fire and completed postgraduate and/or specialised studies in the field of fire protection engineering and/or protection of buildings against fire with at least 60 ECTS credits

 or

  • Has at least a university degree, i.e. has completed graduate studies or integrated undergraduate and graduate studies in engineering
  • Has passed the state qualification exam the programme of which includes the field of fire protection
  • Has at least five years of work experience in inspecting the protection of buildings against fire.
