{"id":105,"date":"2017-02-17T10:35:12","date_gmt":"2017-02-17T09:35:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/psc.hr\/en\/?page_id=105"},"modified":"2026-03-25T13:30:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-25T12:30:13","slug":"mechanical-engineer","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/psc.hr\/en\/mechanical-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Mechanical engineers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mechanical engineers perform tasks of design\/expert supervision of construction\/tasks of site engineers and\/or works managers and tasks of a project manager of the mechanical engineering profession.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>First option<\/u><\/strong><strong> \u2013 FREEDOM TO PROVIDE CROSS-BORDER SERVICES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are already established in another EU\/EEA country, you as a natural and legal person have freedom to provide services on an occasional and temporary basis without the obligation to register the establishment in Croatia, membership in the Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers and without waiting for a prior check.<\/p>\n<p>It is not necessary to report to the Chamber to perform tasks of a site engineer and\/or works manager and project manager of mechanical engineering profession.<\/p>\n<p>To perform design\/expert supervision of construction, an online <a href=\"https:\/\/api.hkis.hr\/storage\/files\/obrazac22-_zahtjev_za_povremeno_obavljanje_poslova_u_r_h_123_3_2.pdf\">declaration<\/a> is sent through the system <a href=\"https:\/\/egradani.hkis.hr\/\">e-Citizens<\/a> or directly to the competent authority at <a href=\"mailto:info@hkis.hr\">info@hkis.hr<\/a>, along with the following photocopied and translated documents:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a copy of ID card<\/li>\n<li>proof of establishment in another EU\/EEA country (employer&#8217;s statement)<\/li>\n<li>proof that there is no ban on provision of the service (certificate of the competent authority from the country of establishment or EU certificate)<\/li>\n<li>proof of educational\/professional qualification<\/li>\n<li>proof of providing the service for at least one year out of 10 previous years if the profession is not regulated in the country of establishment or if the education and professional training leading to that profession are not regulated<\/li>\n<li>data on professional liability insurance in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, or the EU<\/li>\n<li>proof of fee payment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In case of annual renewal of the <a href=\"https:\/\/api.hkis.hr\/storage\/files\/obrazac22-_zahtjev_za_povremeno_obavljanje_poslova_u_r_h_123_3_2.pdf\">declaration<\/a> the applicant must enclose:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>data on professional liability insurance valid in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, or the EU<\/li>\n<li>proof of fee payment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Second option<\/u><\/strong><strong> &#8211; FREEDOM TO ESTABLISH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are already established in another EU\/EEA country, you as a natural or legal person have freedom to provide services on a permanent basis, provided that you register an establishment and submit the following documentation directly, along with a <a href=\"https:\/\/api.hkis.hr\/storage\/files\/obrazac4-_zahtjev_za_upis-_strane_ovla\u0161tene_osobe_7_2.pdf\">request<\/a> at <a href=\"mailto:info@hkis.hr\">info@hkis.hr<\/a> or through the <a href=\"https:\/\/egradani.hkis.hr\/\">e-Citizens<\/a> system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>decision of the Croatian Chamber of Mechanical Engineers on the recognition of professional qualifications<\/li>\n<li>proof of the registration fee payment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Recognition of qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/api.hkis.hr\/storage\/files\/obrazac21-_zahtjev_za_priznavanje_inozemne_stru\u010dne_kvalifikacije_05.23_1_2.pdf\">Application for the recognition of foreign professional qualifications<\/a> is submitted at <a href=\"mailto:info@hkis.hr\">info@hkis.hr<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/egradani.hkis.hr\/\">e-Citizens<\/a> photocopied and translated <a href=\"https:\/\/api.hkis.hr\/storage\/files\/obrazac21-_zahtjev_za_priznavanje_inozemne_stru\u010dne_kvalifikacije_05.23_1_2.pdf\">document<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a copy of ID card<\/li>\n<li>diploma\/certificate and diploma supplement\/certificate supplement<\/li>\n<li>proof of authorization to perform the regulated profession of mechanical engineering in the country they come from<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>or<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>employer&#8217;s certificate on professional work experience in the country of establishment, in a duration of at least one year out of the 10 previous years if the profession is not regulated in the country of establishment, or if the education and professional training leading to that profession are not regulated<\/li>\n<li>proof of fee payment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fees<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EUR 200.00 + VAT for occasional and temporary work &#8211;
