{"id":2499,"date":"2023-11-09T09:22:17","date_gmt":"2023-11-09T08:22:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/psc.hr\/en\/?page_id=2499"},"modified":"2023-11-09T09:34:23","modified_gmt":"2023-11-09T08:34:23","slug":"2499-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/psc.hr\/en\/2499-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Professional exams in social care"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Who has the right and the obligation to take the professional exam?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a trainee after completing a 12-month internship<\/li>\n<li>a person with more than 12 months of experience in the profession<\/li>\n<li>a professional worker who, at the time of establishing an employment relationship in the social welfare sector, has appropriate work experience in jobs of a certain level of education and appropriate profession<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A person who has obtained an educational qualification outside of Croatia also has the right to take a professional exam in the field of social welfare if it is recognized by the competent authority.<\/p>\n<p>The professional exam consists of a general and a special part. The candidate takes the general part of the professional exam verbally, and the special part of the exam is both written and verbal. The written part of the professional exam consists of a written assignment from the field for which the candidate is trained or works.<\/p>\n<p>As a rule, professional exams are held once a month at the premises of the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy at Trg Nevenke Topalu\u0161i\u0107 1, Zagreb, and the deadlines for them are determined separately for each month.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Application <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The completed and handwritten application for taking the professional exam is submitted to the employer, who verifies the information from the application, and submits the certified application to the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy.<\/p>\n<p>The application is submitted to the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy by post to the address Trg Nevenke Topalu\u0161i\u0107 1, 10 000 Zagreb or to the e-mail address <a href=\"mailto:pisarnica@mrosp.hr\">pisarnica@mrosp.hr<\/a> on application form <a href=\"https:\/\/view.officeapps.live.com\/op\/view.aspx?src=https%3A%2F%2Fmrosp.gov.hr%2FUserDocsImages%2Fdokumenti%2FSocijalna%2520politika%2FObrasci%2FObrazac%2520za%2520prijavu%2520polaganja%2520stru%25C4%258Dnog%2520ispita%2520(OZP).docx&amp;wdOrigin=BROWSELINK\">OZP<\/a>, as well as the following documentation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>trainee booklet (certified by the main professional manager)<\/li>\n<li>a copy of the diploma<\/li>\n<li>a copy of the employment contract certified by the employer<\/li>\n<li>certificate of work experience (no later than the day of taking the professional exam)<\/li>\n<li>candidates who have a foreign diploma should submit the Decision on the recognition of a foreign professional qualification issued by the competent professional chamber<\/li>\n<li>proof of payment of the exam costs should be provided at the exam.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Costs <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The costs of taking the professional exam shall be charged to the employer who referred the trainee or professional worker to the exam.<\/p>\n<p>If the employer is a social welfare institution founded by the Republic of Croatia, whose activities are financed from the state budget, it is not obliged to bear the costs of the professional examination, but the state budget is charged through the Ministry.<\/p>\n<p>Professional workers who meet the requirements for taking the exam but are not required to take the exam or who are not employed and want to take the exam, bear the costs of the exam themselves.<\/p>\n<p>The costs of taking the professional exam per candidate amount to:<\/p>\n<p>106.18 EUR for the professional exam in 6 subjects taken by: social worker and lawyer<\/p>\n<p>92.91 EUR for a professional exam in 5 subjects taken by all other professional workers &#8211; prescribed by Article 22 (1-9) of the <a href=\"https:\/\/narodne-novine.nn.hr\/clanci\/sluzbeni\/2022_12_148_2255.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ordinance<\/a><\/p>\n<p>EUR 26.54 remedial exam costs for each subject that the candidate repeats in the professional exam<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Competent authority and regulations<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy<\/p>\n<p>Vukovarska 78, 10 000 Zagreb<\/p>\n<p>+385 1 5557 343<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"mailto:info@mrosp.hr\">info@mrosp.hr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Social Welfare Act (OG <a href=\"https:\/\/narodne-novine.nn.hr\/clanci\/sluzbeni\/2022_02_18_181.html\">18\/22,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/narodne-novine.nn.hr\/clanci\/sluzbeni\/2022_04_46_576.html\">46\/22,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/narodne-novine.nn.hr\/clanci\/sluzbeni\/2022_10_119_1836.html\">119\/22<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Ordinance on traineeship and professional examination in the field of social welfare (OG <a href=\"https:\/\/narodne-novine.nn.hr\/clanci\/sluzbeni\/2022_12_148_2255.html\">148\/22<\/a>)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Approval<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Decision on the right to take a professional exam<\/p>\n<p>Deadline: 30 days<\/p>\n<p>The decision is delivered to the candidate at least 15 days before the day set for taking the professional exam.<\/p>\n<p>The decision on the approval for taking the professional exam can be submitted by e-mail, and subsequently it is also submitted by post.<\/p>\n<p>A Certificate of passing the professional exam is issued from the records of candidates who have passed the professional exam.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Legal remedies<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>An appeal cannot be filed against the decision on passing the professional exam, but an administrative dispute can be initiated with the competent administrative court within 30 days from the date of receipt of this decision.
