- Game may be hunted by a hunter who has a valid hunting card and previously issued written permission of the hunting authority, and game can be shot by a hunter who, in addition to the above, also has a valid weapons license for holding and carrying weapons for the purpose of hunting.
- Hunting cards for citizens of the Republic of Croatia and foreign citizens are issued by the Croatian Hunting Association.
- A hunting license is issued based on a certificate of passing a hunting test, i.e. a certificate of qualification as a hunter, and for foreign citizens based on proof of meeting the conditions for hunting according to the regulations of the country they come from.
- Artificially bred birds of prey may be used for hunting. A person who uses birds of prey in hunting must have a falconry card in addition to a hunting card.
- The falconry card for citizens of the Republic of Croatia is issued by the Ministry of Agriculture based on a passed falconry exam.
Fees
- The price of a hunting card for citizens of the Republic of Croatia is EUR 50,00 per year.
- The price of a hunting license for foreign citizens for a period of validity of 30 days is EUR 70,00 or EUR 300,00 for a period of validity of one year.
