Professional exam for the performance of professional geodetic operations

Persons performing professional geodetic operations in the capacity of responsible person and persons performing professional geodetic operations in the capacity of expert associates and associates of a chartered geodetic engineer are obliged to pass a professional exam to perform these operations.

Required documents

A candidate files to the State Geodetic Administration a request for taking the professional exam. The candidate encloses the following documents (evidence) to the request for taking the professional exam (SI-SGP-1) form):

• proof of professional degree, obtained professional or academic title as part of the stipulated profession (school certificate or university diploma)
• proof of work experience acquired on relevant jobs and its duration (certificate/ electronic record including information recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Fund) and employer’s certificate of professional geodetic operations the candidate performed, and
• proof of paid costs for taking the professional exam (payment certificate).

Conditions for taking the professional exam

A person obliged to take professional exam acquires the right to take the professional exam after he/she has acquired relevant work experience with relevant geodetic operations upon the completed schooling and after acquiring a professional degree or rather completed studies and after acquired a professional or academic title of geodetic profession.

Persons subject may take the professional exam if they possess the following:

• Professional title of geodetic technician (4^th degree, high school) and one year of experience on relevant tasks
• Academic title of bachelor (baccalaureus) of geodetic engineering or persons who have acquired relevant education degree of geodetic profession in some other way stipulated by a separate regulation and one year of work experience on relevant tasks
• Academic title of master (baccalaureus) of geodetic engineering or persons who have acquired relevant education degree of geodetic profession in some other way stipulated by a separate regulation and two years of work experience on relevant tasks
  

Fees

The costs of taking the professional exam are HRK 1500 per candidate, while taking a makeup exam costs HRK 450.
