If goods are imported to Croatia from other EEA countries, they will be exempted from customs duties.
In Croatia, as in the entire internal market of the EU, a unified CE marking (on European conformity) for technical products is applied.
European Union has rules for products. There are national rules applied to certain products (so called non-harmonised regulations) which in each Member State differ considering technical requirements before they are placed on the market. Those national rules must be notified at the EU level prior to their announcement, in order to prevent barriers to free movement of goods.
Products which are not covered by EU technical legislation are mutually recognised.
The safety control of products before they are placed on the market has been improved. Conformity certificates are recognised in the whole EU.
The Product Contact Point provides free information for business entities on national technical regulations applied to certain products.
