Driving schools

  1. CROSS-BORDER FREEDOM TO PROVIDE SERVICES:

It is not possible to freely provide services on a temporary and occasional basis; registration with the competent authorities is obligatory.

  1. APPLICATIONS FOR ESTABLISHMENT
  • An application for issuing the licence for the operation of a driving school is submitted

Documents that are attached to a completed application form:

– Evidence on registered training activity,

– Evidence on employees’ competency (valid driving licence of a specific category, driving instructor licence of a specific category, driving school manager and lecturer licence),

– Evidence on ownership or a leasing contract for a properly equipped classroom, with a classroom plan in scale and evidence on complying with the occupational safety requirements prescribed by a special regulation,

– Evidence on ownership or a leasing contract for an office space for the reception of candidate drivers and the work of the driving school manager with evidence on complying with the occupational safety requirements prescribed by a special regulation,

– Evidence on ownership, a leasing contract or other documentation proving the right to use the entire surface of the training ground of at least 510 m2 (at least 60 meters in length and 8.5 meters in width) with the training ground plan and the description of outlined traffic and technical elements for categories in which the driving school will train candidates,

– Evidence on ownership or a lease or rental contract for properly equipped vehicles for the categories of vehicles for which the driving school submits the application for issuing the authorization to train candidate drivers and related documentation (copy of a valid vehicle registration certificate, periodic vehicle inspection card and vehicle examination certificate),

– Evidence on owning instructional materials, teaching aids and equipment for conducting classes in Traffic regulations and safety rules

– Evidence on owning a computer software for conducting classes in Traffic regulations and safety rules

– Evidence on owning computer equipment for maintaining IT links with the authorised professional agency

Fees

– 2100 HRK for an administrative fee for issuing the licence for training candidate drivers and entry in the driving schools register

– Evidence on paying the prescribed fee for determining the working conditions of a driving school.

Payment model: HR05, reference number of payment: 1112, as follows:

– 1200 HRK + VAT for determining the working conditions of a new driving school,

– 900 HRK + VAT for extending the operation of a driving school or changing the headquarters (location),

– 150 HRK + VAT for changing the name, i.e. status feature of a driving school.

 Appeals and remedies

An appeal against the decision is not admissible, but an administrative dispute may be brought before the competent administrative court within 30 days from the date of delivery of the decision.
