Vehicle roadworthiness supervisor

FREEDOM OF ESTABLISHMENT 

If you are already established in any EU/EEA state, you are free to provide services as natural and legal persons on a permanent basis in Croatia by means of an establishment in Croatia, provided that you submit a completed Application to autoskola@mup.hr, along with the following documents (photographed or scanned):

  • proof of professional qualifications for a vehicle roadworthiness supervisor or professional qualifications for a car mechanic or a car electrician, having minimum three years of professional experience in maintenance of motor vehicles, proof of passing the exam of professional competence for a vehicle roadworthiness supervisor at a professional organization in charge of training people in the profession; or having completed at least a three-year university undergraduate study or a three-year professional undergraduate study of the (road or urban) traffic programme or mechanical engineering programme, and having acquired appropriate professional title in accordance with a special law and the exam of professional competence for a vehicle roadworthiness supervisor at a professional organization in charge of training people in the profession
  • category B driving license
  • fee receipt (via online banking)
  • copy of an ID
  • copy of a personal identification number certificate (OIB)
  • applicant’s photo
  • proof of Croatian language proficiency 

Qualification verification 

An application for recognition of qualification is submitted to autoskola@mup.hr

  • proof of qualifications of the minimum C level for a vehicle roadworthiness supervisor, proof of completed education and proof of work experience (in case of professional qualifications for a car mechanic or a car electrician)
  • knowledge test (Centar za vozila Hrvatske d.d. (Croatian Centre for Vehicles), Zagreb, Capraška 6, cvh@cvh.hr)

EUR 3.98 for issuing the license for a vehicle roadworthiness supervisor

Authorization

License for a vehicle roadworthiness supervisor

Time limit for obtaining the license: 30 days for the license; 90 days in the event of qualification verification


Legal remedy

The decision may not be appealed, but an administrative dispute may be initiated before the administrative court having territorial jurisdiction, within 30 days of the decision. The administrative dispute is initiated by a complaint and the procedure is conducted thereafter. Normally, a hearing is scheduled with the complainant and the respondent. If dissatisfied with the judgement or decision, the complainant may appeal to the High Administrative Court of the Republic of Croatia.
